Claim Center
How Claims Work
- Report immediately. Notify us as soon as you discover loss or damage, before the cargo leaves the port where possible.
- Preserve the evidence. Do not discard damaged goods or packaging until a surveyor has inspected them.
- Submit your documents. We review and forward your claim to the insurer.
- Survey. Where required, an independent surveyor assesses the loss.
- Settlement. The insurer issues a settlement offer and pays out on acceptance.
Documents You Will Need
- Policy or certificate number
- Photos of the damaged cargo and packaging
- Commercial invoice
- Bill of Lading
- Survey report (where a survey was done)
- Police abstract (for theft or hijacking)
